Strategies for Professional Development in the Workplace

andragogyIn order to better inform my ability to work with and train adults, I researched and wrote an introductory chapter on andragogy that answered the following questions:

  1. What are the unique characteristics of adult learners?
  1. What strategies can be employed to address adult learner characteristics?
  1. How do we leverage knowledge about adult learners and effective learning strategies to create successful instructional design?

By answering these questions I learned about best practices for adult learning and how they can be creatively applied to the workplace.
